Privacy policy

Browsing the manual requires no account. To operate and secure the service we collect standard server logs — your IP address, user agent, the URL requested, and a timestamp. If you request an API key or write to us through the contact form, we also collect the email address and whatever details you choose to include.

We do not ask for, and try not to receive, any information beyond what is needed to run the site and answer you. We do not build advertising profiles.

We use the information above to deliver and improve the service, to prevent abuse and apply rate limits to API access, to respond to your messages, and to understand aggregate usage patterns so we can make the manual easier to read.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

We use a minimal, privacy-respecting measure to count page views and API calls in aggregate. It tells us how many people reach a section, not who they are.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers, and we do not follow you around the web after you leave.

We share information only with the infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf — for hosting, logging, and email delivery — and where we are required to by law. These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their services to us.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties for their own purposes.

We keep server logs for a limited period and retain contact messages only for as long as needed to address your request. When that purpose is met, we delete or de-identify the data.

We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage over the internet is ever perfectly secure.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided by emailing us. Because most of the site works without an account, you can browse without giving us any personal information at all.
